About Lee

A little background on Me

I’m the Designated Broker with The Masters Realty Group LLC.

We’ve moved back to Edgewood, WA where we’re living on the family farm of just under 5 acres.  Things are much closer here than they are when living in the Nooksack Valley.  Where it used to take us 45 minutes to get to Costco, now it’s 10 minutes.  It used to be 20 minutes to the library, now it’s 5.

Before our recent move back to Edgewood, we spent two years living on 10 acres in the Nooksack Valley near Deming, WA along with Kathleen, our English Setter named Teoh and a couple of antique tractors: a 1957 Farmall HC-130 and a 1955 Massey-Ferguson 35. Previously we lived in Edgewood, WA on a 5 acre farm where for many years we raised cattle, sheep, chickens and maintained a large vegetable garden.

As a navy brat, I’ve lived in numerous locations including Japan for a couple of years, and Australia where my mother was born.  I’m an avid cyclist, reader, and licensed pilot having owned a Cessna 182 as well as a Piper PA-12 w/150hp. I no longer own an airplane but haven’t given up on the dream of building my own.

I’ve had 27+ years experience in both commercial and residential real estate. I spent 14 years with John L Scott, the last 7 as an assistant manager in Federal Way. Earlier I was the owner/broker of a boutique commercial real estate firm (Puget Sound Commercial Properties, Inc) specializing in large pre-development raw land transactions (remember the S&L debacle?).

In a time when microprocessors were still new I co-founded and was president of a computer company that designed and manufactured real time distributed process control systems.   Pre-high tech burnout, I was also a “white-hatted” outside consultant brought in to save software projects underwater and behind schedule, and to advise venture capital investors.

My real estate clients have been quite varied – from builders, developers, overseas investors from Japan, Singapore, and Thailand; small businessmen to officers of Fortune 400 companies, to an 18 year old first time home buyer.  My largest property transaction to date was over $7 million and the smallest $5,000.

Besides being a Designated Broker, I’ve earned the following designations:

  • CRS (Certified Residential Specialist),
  • CLHMS (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist),
  • CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert), and
  • ASP (Accredited Staging Professional).

I graduated from the University of Washington with a BSE, (Computer Science & International Business)
